Course Details

This course will strengthen the participants’ knowledge and understanding of what is understood by diplomatic protocol and etiquette and why diplomats should carefully follow and observe its rules and procedures. Focusing on the 1961 Vienna Convention, the course will give the participants illuminating insights into the history of Georgian protocol. Participants will learn about the importance of the national symbols of various countries through the prism of historical parallels; which protocol standards apply to official visits and which categories they fall into; how to draw up a cultural programme, and also how to lead official dinners where the menu will be an added value. The course will help participants explore the proper rules and practices needed to plan large-scale official events involving security systems and accreditation forms, in addition to offering tips on protocol gifts and everyday etiquette.

Upon completion of the course, participants will have an understanding of:

History of Diplomatic protocol and etiquette, its importance and tasks; Planning of official visits according to the etiquette; Everyday etiquette; Dress code and dinner etiquette; Cultural programme planning.

Course Details

The course “Foreign Policy of Great Powers” will give you an opportunity to explore the foreign policy of the Great Powers and learn how the foreign policy of the U.S., China, Germany, Great Britain, Russian, Iran and Turkey has evolved through the course of history up to this day. Providing an advanced introduction to international relations, international security and diplomacy concepts and theories from Thucydides to Fukuyama, the course will help you understand the way the key players act to maintain and further strengthen their positions.

Course Details

The course is designed for the audience keen on taking a close look at the Middle East countries and their political upheavals. The Course will help its participants to get a real picture of the Middle East as a region with its geographical, historical and economic features. Considerable attention will be focused on the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict and the factors providing a background for these never-ending tensions. The course will give an analysis of the Arab Spring and its impact on the Middle East. The Syrian civil war, Kurds and radical Islamic Terrorism will also be the highlights of the Course.
